Biography:

I studied at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London and at the British School at Rome, where I held a two year Rome Scholarship. As well as my continuing career as a figurative artist I was Keeper of Fine Art at Salford Art Gallery and creator and course leader of the Fine Art Degree at the University of Bolton, U.K. My works have been exhibited in North America, Britain and Europe, notably but not exclusively at The Chelsea Arts Club, The Royal Academy, The Institute of Contemporary Art, The Palazzo Barberini, The Whitworth Art Gallery, The Walker Art Gallery, Manchester City Art Gallery and South London Art Gallery. My works are in private collections in Italy, Canada, Britain, the USA & Japan; Public collectors include: Bury, Bolton, Salford and Towneley Hall Art Galleries; Granada Television; Camden Council; North West Arts. I am a member of the Chelsea Arts Club and there are references to me in the book by David Buckman: 'Artists in Britain since 1945'.
