I much prefer working on double portraits because of the sense of sentiment which is generated by the presence of another, in this instance the double portrait is of two sisters who have a close bond despite an age gap. I also prefer to work half life size because, for me, that scale (which equates exactly to the scale which we perceive in our mirror reflection) possesses a more informal and humanly intimate feel.
