The Wye Valley from Tympath - Oil on Linen - 54 cms x 73 cms

The idea for this painting was suggested to me by my friend Roger Capps. He said that this is one of his favourite views of the Wye Valley where he lives. One calm early autumn evening he took me to see this wonderful view from a place called the Tympath, looking north towards Builth Wells. I decided that I would try to make a painting which had something of the majesty of this view.
