The London Hardwood Club met for its annual luncheon at The Honourable Artillery Company, Armoury House, London and was attended by 145 members and their guests, including Ivan Savage, General Manager of the Timber Trades Benevolent Society. Welcomed by Patrick Cooper of Canada Wood UK, the attendees enjoyed an excellent lunch, which was followed by an address by LHC President Robert Morgan and entertainment from guest comedian Paul Boardman. Afterwards, a grand Raffle with a substantial prize fund of £800, together with a turned wooden gift, produced and donated by Jack Furtado, produced £2,675.00 to be shared equally between the Timber Trades Benevolent Society and Alzheimers Society.
TTBS General Manager, Ivan Savage would wish to thank all the attendees for purchasing raffle tickets on the day and also Jack Furtado and all the prize fund sponsors, Associated Timber Services Ltd, Brooks Bros (UK) Ltd, Danzer UK Ltd, LDT, Morgan Timber, Norman Global Logistics Ltd, Timbmet Ltd and Tradelink Wood Products Ltd. He would also wish to thank all the five prize winners, who generously donated their cash prizes back to the charities.
