The 270 attendees at the TTF National Panel Products Division Annual Dinner held on the 12th November at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London, donated a record sum of £2,765.00 from the table collection organised by Nina Grundy from the Timber Trade Federation. The after dinner speaker was Ray Parlour ex Arsenal & England midfield player.
Ivan Savage, TTBS General Manager, would wish to record thanks to all who contributed so generously on the night and to Nina Grundy for her efforts on behalf of the Society.
He commented “ At this time of year, we are particularly heartened by the response from our many UK beneficiaries, who will shortly be receiving their Christmas hampers and Christmas payments which bring them so much cheer during the Festive season. Also, we will be shortly be informing our recipient beneficiaries, that we will once again be paying a Winter Warmer fuel grant of £300.00 early in March 2015, which will allow them to keep warm during the worst of the winter weather. This TTBS fuel grant is on top of the fuel grant paid by the State and gives our beneficiaries great peace of mind during the December to March period. The Christmas payment has also been increased from £100.00 to £150.00 this year and we have also recently increased our Quarterly Allowance payments from February 2015. None of this would be possible without the continued support from the trade and on behalf of the Trustees and the Board of Management, I would thank you all most sincerely”
