At the Trussed Rafter Association Annual General Meeting held in Swindon on Thursday 27th February, the TTBS was represented by General Manager, Ivan Savage, who addressed the meeting held at The National Self Build & Renovation Centre. He reminded the TRA Fabricator members that since February 2013, the TTBS had been available to assist their retired and long term sick employees and he requested that they review their company HR records to see if there were any previous staff who might require help from the Society. He also explained in detail the work of the Society and the various Beneficiary benefits that were available to aid the needy. He asked that all TRA member companies advised their staff of the link to the TTBS which was on the TRA website and would explain the TTBS structure and all News and Events information.
At the dinner, following the AGM, held at the Hilton Hotel, Lydiard Fields, Swindon, the Timber Trades Benevolent Society was the recipient of a table collection, which produced £410.00 for the Society. On behalf of the TTBS Trustees, the Board of Management and most importantly, the Beneficiaries, Ivan Savage would wish to record thanks to TRA Chairman Richard Evans and Director, Nick Boulton for supporting the TTBS initiative and to all the TRA attendees for their generosity in contributing to the table collection.
