Roland VIb
This was a very early effort, from a Pegasus
limited-run injection kit. The cabane struts had to be bent from wire
(yeah, I bodged it.)
Humbrol enamels throughout. Hadn't even discovered Future (Klear) floor polish at this stage, and no rigging at all. I only put it here for the sake of history. |

Pegasus 5-colour lozenge decals were used on upper and lower flying surfaces - rib tapes took ages. Clinker-built fuselage was brush-painted with different shades of brown over cream. Much more difficult with enamels than with acrylics, and a whole lot smellier too. | |

However, I do have another one of these kits, unbuilt and earmarked as the main bits of a Roland DR1 (yes - a triplane!) I've got almost all the background materials together, but still need some more definitive drawings or dimensions for the wings - anyone out there got any info? |
