In view of the current situation, to protect our patients and staff, we are temporarily stopping face to face appointments. However, in line with our local NHS services, we are offering telephone assessment and telephone follow up appointments. The charges are outlined on our booking and fees page. Please note some insurance companies will not cover these appointments, please check before booking.
As advanced practitioners in the NHS both our physiotherapists are experienced in telephone consultations and can help with advice and exercises with links to videos where appropriate. We will screen you for serious problems which may need further investigations or specialist referral.
What does a telephone assessment involve?
• A 20-30minute call at booked appointment time
• An assessment which involves questions about the MSK complaint and their general health
• The opportunity to ask questions relating to how best to manage their symptoms
• A diagnosis and specific advice about how to best manage the condition
• The call will typically be followed up with an email with self-help guides and tailored exercises.
What does a telephone follow up involve?
• A 10-15minute call at booked appointment time
• a review of how you are managing with the prescribed treatment programme and advice regarding progression or modification of treatment as indicated
• The opportunity to ask questions
The Physiotherapy Clinic is based in Holbrook GP surgery. It provides fast access to high quality physiotherapy services. There are currently three Chartered Physiotherapists working in the clinic covering daytime and evening appointments.
