| Learn English at Home (LEAH) is a Voluntary organisation, Registered Charity No 1057008, operating in Kingston and Richmond. We cater for the needs of non-English speaking residents who, for various reasons, are unable to attend classes. | |

| Each LEAH Tutor
has one student. The volunteer Tutor visits their student’s home once a week for
one to two hours; mainly during term-time as most of our students are women with
children both at home and at school. For some the requirement is very basic – shopping, money, doctors, public transport etc.. for others, more advanced, possibly to help them move on to college or work. | |

| Our aim is
to enable the students to cope with daily life in this
country. LEAH is run by a management committee which has overall responsibility for the management of the Organisation. The administration of the Project and supervision of Volunteers is undertaken by the Manager. | |
