Helen and I have got various other interests. We both enjoy archery, although our activities in this sport have been curtailed since the arival of our children, Chris and Laura. I enjoy shooting my longbow and Helen shoots a recurve bow. We want to get back into dinghy sailing as well!

Helen collects old bottles and is particularly interested in old Pharmacy bottles.

I've always been a Land Rover fan and am joint owner (with my Dad) of a 1949 series One. This has been stripped and partially rebuilt. It is my Dad's retirement project. I am stadily collecting the missing parts ready for a rebuild due to start Summer 2004.

I got interested in electric vehicles through a friend and am a member of the Battery Vehicle Society. I built my own 24V motor assisted mountian bike. I would love an electric car, but they are so expensive to buy or convert.

I'm also restoring an old Kelvin marine engine.
