The subjects I enjoy painting

Much of my work now involves a dog of some description . I love to have them involved in some sort of mischief , being taken out for a walk or being distracted by a bee. Simply sitting or standing doesn't really do it for me so some form of activity is a must these days. I will paint other animals but rarely wildlife. The dog does it for me every time and I can also use my own photographs for reference. Portraits of people are very enjoyable but it's hard to paint a portrait that's sellable if it's not of a famous person. I'm working on some ideas that may involve dogs and faces at some point. As well as painting on canvas I like to paint leather wallets. I don't have a particuar subject for this type of surface as almost anything works......cars, animals or people.
