Sh Ch & Ir Ch Raycroft Socialite

I first saw Clumber Spaniels when I was exhibiting in Scotland.  Like so many people before me - and no doubt many since and in the future - I instantly fell in love with the breed.

I was fortunate enough to talk with Mrs Rae Furness, whose Raycroft Clumbers had been such an influence on the breed. 

I was privileged to be able to pick a puppy from one of her litters and came home with Raycroft Socialite when he was just 10 weeks of age - little did I know, on that journey home, that he was to become such a success (and a great, much loved companion).

Of course, Garfield was to go on to so many triumphs, including Pup of the Year in 1989, but his crowning glory came in 1991 at the Centenary Crufts when he took the coveted Best in Show title.
