| Message: | We want to congratulate you on the way your little dogs looked and the ones in the enclosure were so friendly. Our son is allergic to animals and it was a treat for him to look at the dogs and see them racing. My wife bet on the ginger one and it won. It meant me treating her to a big meal. Downside or what. Good beer money down the plughole. It was worth it for the happiness in my sons face, and my wifes, OK on mine too. cheers. |

We were pleasantly surprised to find your fine terrier racing living up to the same standards. It was marvellous, clean entertainment I had no worries allowing my family to view. It was presented professionally with no smut. Something usually only seen in military circles when children are present. Top marks. |

It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience made especially so by your marvellous terrier racing and accurate commentary made interesting by the antics of the terriers. We were taken back to our land army days by the part of your commentary about terriers on the farms. In our day most farms had 5 or 6 terriers on the payroll. They were there to kill vermin and rabbits as every ounce of food grown was important to the war effort and waste was a sin, especially waste to vermin. We had a laugh, battle and comradeship from the little dears who used to sit on the tractors looking out for creatures disturbed by the machinery. They caught us many a dinner too. Thank you for your fun and good humoured explanation. We certainly endorse it from live experience. Carry on the good work. |

We did enjoy the mixture of the very funny terrier dogs and your top grade explanation why culling in the countryside is important. We never thought of it the way you explained it. We did rather think of you country folk as a lot of animal murderers. You made us think differently I must say. You are right, if mice and rats invade our home we put down poison or employ a cat to kill them. Terriers on a farm killing rats and rabbits or the hunt removing old or sick foxes is just a larger scale variation of what I would do to protect my home. So we are all similarly minded are we not. We will never think of you in the country and us as seperate species again. We will look at the countryside with a different viewpoint. We promise you that. Thank you for letting my daughter handle one of the terriers. It made her day. Hope to see you next year. My daughter has asked if she can have a photo next year of the dog that disappeared up the tube. Jim and Helen |

She saw bonny some years ago at crufts and she said bonny had cancer and so did she. She said bonny's vitality and happy disposition in the ring helped her through very dark times and she believes bonny saved her life. We just had to tell you as it brought tears to our eyes. She has the photo with her always. Good luck to you lovely people. |

| Message: | We had to tell you how much we learned from and enjoyed the terrier racing at Lulworth countryside show. We were anti country pursuits as they inevitably include killing. After watching the racing and seeing how much the dogs enjoyed themselves and speaking to you on Saturday, we began to understand the sense of the countryside. The remark that went home was when you said about rats and if they were not controlled in rural areas by the likes of your terriers and thousands like them, rats would spill over into towns and cities even more than they do now. What a sobering thought. We live and learn. Perhaps you're right. There is a place and reason for most things. Thanks a million for an entertaining insight. Sarah and Den |

| Message: | May I with my family congratulate the terrier racing team on a truly magnificent show at Lulworth Castle this last weekend. We live in the country and a show promoting country activities is excellent in it's concept so we attended it on both days together with our guests. The racing was just the right mix of true country sport and great fun with the dogs. Our guests were mesmerised by them, in the words of one of them, appearing to be little killers chasing the lure and yet so gentle when we came to see them afterwards. Thank you for a top class show. |

My Chip is the most loving loyal little git you can imagine but, he will not walk on the lead, let other dogs near me, or stay in the garden. he got out last night and it took me and 5 of the neighbours, a lot of running about and swearing from us and a chase in the car to catch him. He only came back home of his own accord because he was bored. he chases birds, cats, steals rubbish, steals socks pants and other items of underwear, infact anything not made of forged steel and welded to the floor is vulnerable. Still, I wouldn't be without the little monster. Well o.k, sometimes I do want to kill him. |

| Message: | Here's a poem I wrote recently about my JRT pup Belle. 'BELLE' I’m only nine weeks old you know, And very, very petite, I’m mostly white, with two brown spots, And sharp claws upon my feet. The stairs I found a problem, But soon mastered this, Going up is now quite easy, Going down, - it’s hit or miss! I’m told off - yes, quite often, But, what is a pup to do, I only want to play and run, And chew and chew and chew! The Boss points her finger, And tells me no, no, no I think that she is playing, And chew her finger so! All in all, it’s quite good here, Although I get confused, One minute I’m told “ good girl” Next minute She’s not amused. The first lesson was to learn my name, Well that was easy stuff, Now she wants me potty trained, Well I think enough’s enough!! She puts paper all around the floor, Expecting me to wee, And if I miss the paper, I’m grabbed up, and out we flee. That puts me right off my stroke, I’m sure you understand, I just, can’t get it though my head, I need to wee outside on land. Dins dins is the best word, That I have learnt of late, I’m never too busy playing, To forfeit this wonderful date. When I’ve finished eating , My belly grows so large, I waddle across the kitchen floor, I feel like a huge barge. Of course, once it goes in one end, It’s soon time for it to reappear. And if I miss the paper again, Away from my Boss, I’ll steer! You are welcome to put it on your web page. Karen Roberts |

The last time we saw terrier racing it was daft as the same dogs were coming after the fur at each race and we couldnt understand the person who was announcing the races. The people weren't very nice either. You were just great. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the kind way the dogs were looked after. When we came to speak to you you treated us as if we were the only people in the world. Thank you for showing us your lovely dogs. Love from Sarah and Jo |

So here is a messsage for the show organisers. Thank you very much for inviting the Tricky Tikes to entertain us. It was by miles the most uplifting show of the day. The spectacular events in the other ring were super but for sheer joie de vivre the Tricky Tikes terriers must take our vote. The people around us were helpless with laughter too. What cheerful and wonderful little dogs. More people should have had the opportunity to see them in the big ring. Thank you. |

| Message: | We saw your display at the Horse Trials yesterday and would like to tell you how much we enjoyed it. Mr Brookes-Ward said it would be hilarious and he was spot on. We were so amused by those scots. When one went over the jump and the audience cheered it brought a lump to my throat. I remember the first time my horse jumped. My father cheered too. He died the following week. That moment brought memories back. Cheerful ones as the little scots were so funny. It was a shame it had to be shortened as we were so much looking forward to it. That sentiment goes for everyone who sat near my family as we all had a little moan between us. Never mind, we thoroughly enjoyed what we saw and hope they will ask you back next year and give the show more time. I speak as a horse owner and competitor so I understand horse events are hard to time. As there was so much space, they could have given you your own ring. Sarah and family. |

| Message: | We went to Crufts on Friday and enjoyed ourselves but we agree with the person who left a message on the same theme. Terriers were not in evidence at all for people to watch in the special events ring. Just labs and collies and german shepherds and odds and sods. Two displays were similar to the competitions but minus the excitement. What point? The duck herding was the only different show and very good it was too but no terriers. The only place to see terriers was Discover Dogs and when we went to have a look at 3pm some had gone home. Very disappointing. So much for seeing terriers. We asked at the ringside about whether the Tricky Tykes were here and some person in uniform answered tersely that she didn't know where you were and she was fed up with telling people that. They should be pleased that the public show interest. We met a lovely man who suggested we email you so here we are. Please pass our comments on to Crufts. There is no mileage in e- mailing Crufts as they no doubt get 100's of e-mails and ours would be lost in the crowd. Thank you. |

| Message: | We enjoy Crufts very much and we are involved in terriers in a fairly big way. We are well known breeders of a certain terrier breed and have been breeding for 35 years. Why is it that labradors, collies, GSD's and the like are so well represented by displays at Crufts but the vastly popular terrier is not. There was no terrier racing at Crufts this year. Why ever not? You might as well call Crufts the Lab, Collie and GSD Show as far as this year's entertainment goes. It's a pity. Your terrier racing showed the public with proper handling and training, the terrier is a super little fellow who ranks alongside any collie, labrador or GSD as a family member. We feel strongly that terriers are being put on the back shelf by Crufts. If the public can't see them in high profile action having fun, they will only see them as killers in the field. All dogs are killers so come on, give terriers a chance. Larry and Helen |

| Message: | We were at Crufts yesterday from early morning showing and were hoping to see the Tricky Tykes Terrier Racing team in action but we were terribly disappointed. It is such a popular and lighthearted show so why wasn't it on? Almost every show in the special events ring was competitive and earnest. We need some fun to remind us of what our relationship with dogs is at the end of the day. We were relaxing in the special events area from about 2 until 4 and in the space of about an hour and a half there were 2 very similar shows on. One was good the other was to be frank, not very. Why have 2 so similar and no terrier racing? I run an obedience club and know the problems associated with correct training. I dislike watching dogs doing circus tricks as it is demeaning to the canine world. Your show is naturally amusing. People don't realise how diffiult it is to train terriers to be consistent. We take our hats off to you. You have a top rate show and very entertaining too. Please return next year. |

Now I may have a few shows in Yorkshire for you in 2006 and I will be in touch about it at next years show. I would need one of each of your packages and the longnetting as my shows are based on game and country style with the general public in attendance. | Message: | IN ANSWER TO MR & MRS HARRIS Regular visitors will be aware that it is not our policy to respond to messages via the guestbook, neither do we delete messages. in this case a response is necessary to clarify a case of mistaken identity. Because we are the biggest and most well known Terrier Racing Team & have a high profile, many people tend to think when that when they've seen terrier racing it must be us. As with other types of displays we are not the only ones - we are just the most famous one. Copied but not bettered. We were indeed at the Portsmouth & Southsea Show as we have been for many years,& will be there again next year. We were also at the Showman's Show but WERE NOT inside the circus tent. However, a smaller terrier racing display, not connected with us, was present inside the tent. Our usual Exhibition Unit was prominently placed between the Main Arena & the circus tent and our unit was visited by many people keen to book the TYKES for future shows. We can assure interested persons that our usual high standards, our 45/50 dogs & our Exhibition Unit/Visitor Centre will continue to be at shows all over the UK just as they always have been. We are sorry Mr & Mrs Harris that you confused someone else with The Tricky Tykes, and if you would care to e-mail us we would be pleased to confirm whether we are still available for your show. |

| Message: | Hello, We saw you at the Portsmouth Show in August and were impressed at the quality of the display, the information in the commentary and the variety of dogs. We visited the Showmans Show in Newbury and you may remember we spoke to your representative from the East of England in the circus tent with the intention of booking you for our company fiesta in May next year. We were somewhat taken aback to see the display was nothing like you presented at Portsmouth. We assumed you would have the 50 dogs racing yet you said at the Showmans Show you bring 8 or 10. 10 terriers is hardly enough to keep an intelligent audience interested and you don't appear to have the big unit anymore. Not good value for money and rather disappointing. It could be an idea to change your website to explain what a show really gets. |

I know that my two little terriers would love to have the chance to join a club where they could train to do terrier racing but I live in Hampshire and Wales is a bit too far to travel. I just wondered if anyone visiting your web site may know of any clubs on the South coast. Worth a shot! |

Also unfortunately she had fallen out the car window when i went round a bend a few days earlier and although she was fine i thought perhaps she shouldnt go racing. However she went in the fancy dress with a little boy and they both dressed up as ninja turtles -they won first prize |

The scots were side splitting and we just loved the big hound. We thought the bike display was good too. Will you be at the Royal Welsh show? We would love to bring some friends to see your lovely family friendly show. It is rare to watch an arena show with no swearing. It was also refreshing to see the dogs being treated so sympathetically by cooling them in the pool before they came into the ring. Well done. Others should follow your example. | Message: | We loved the demonstration enormously. We decided to try it ourselves. The result was fights fights fights and fights. One poor dog ended up at the vets with a ripped tail. We tried again the following week and couldn't keep the rag on the string, the string was pulled off by the dogs, one got tangled in it and it garroted his leg. It was pulled so tight we had to get the vet to get it off while the poor dog was sedated. Oh yes and more fights. So we have abandoned that idea. How do you do it? How do you train them to be so excited yet they don't try and murder each other. What a great show. All that excitement and no injuries. You deserve a medal. |

The Scottie "Hovercraft Team" antics were topped only by the Scottie Rescue group and the hurdles. I was in tears watching them each day. I am still laughing about them and cheering them on in my memories, especially the older female with the graying face. What a trooper! Thank you and your Terriers for giving us so much happiness, laughter and wonderful memories! You should be a Crufts institution! |

| Message: | It was a magnificient, professional demonstration you gave at Crufts. We were enthralled. We did not intend to watch as we had seen terrier racing last summer at our local show. It was badly presented by a man calling himself Cyril Squirrell and the dogs were unruly and a little cowed. The commentary and content was terrible and the dogs were few. We were walking past the ring at Crufts and could not help hearing the cheering crowds. We were transfixed. We watched 6 or 7 scottish terriers enjoying their occupation. The commentary was clear and exciting but with correct diction and the dogs were perky. Excellent show chaps. |

| Message: | We saw the Tricky Tykes at Crufts on Saturday and we loved every single minute. We are serious breeders and take pride in qualifying for and competing at Crufts. The whole showing business is serious and stressful. We had heard about the Tricky Tykes Terriers from someone at last years Crufts and we are so glad we watched this year. It was like a bolt of lighting to us. We saw what dogs should be doing which is enjoying themselves. We saw the pure joy and humour in the faces of the audience. Guess what? When we didn't win our class we congratulated the winner who was most shocked. Unusual for us. We did it because we realised showing should be fun just like the fun the terriers were having. We would like to take an opportunity to thank Crufts for providing us with your team who really are a de stressing agent. It opened our eyes anyway. By the way the scottys are out of this world, so funny. The deerhound was tops too. Thank again and hope to see you next year. |
