| Message: | I love the slid show!! Andrew sat on my lap and we watched it. I was so touched by how protective Amy looks in all the pictures. On pic of the two of them made me cry. I was narrating the slide show to Andrew and for that picture I said "Sisters" and started to cry. It just showed such pure joy. That is what we all wanted when we started this long journey. Our daughter Jessica also has Hurlers and had a BMT in November 2003, together with enzyme replacement therapy. Did Sophie have ERT also ? Jessica was 3 on 13 September. | Message: | Congratulations on getting the Olympics in London! Jeff will love all the backdrop shots. It is getting so built up around here and I was asking Jeff the other day if the same thing happens in England. Neither of us noticed a lot of modern developments but the population must increase and move out somewhere. I hate to see all the beautiful farm land being built on here. Now I know how my dad feels when he says "I hunted many a fox, rabbit, dove etc in that field." One more rambling question. Do you have lightening bugs (fireflies) and if so, is that what you call them? | Message: | I am sorry that Sophie is having this heart problem. Maybe the first dr. will be wrong (we are sure used to that) and it will turn out better than they expect. Your conversation with Amy reminds me of one of my favorit books to read to Hannah. It is called "Even if I did something awful" by Barbara Shook Hazen. It starts with several pages of "would you love me if I did...(some outrageous act) Then the mother says "yes, but ...(I would make you clean it up,etc) and then is followed by the awful thing she really did but was an accident and the Mommy says "I love you so much I'd love you if you did mean to and it wasn't an accident. But I also might be mad and yell things like "I told you a thousand times!" and "This is the last straw" and "I have had it with your disobeying!" and send you to your room with no dessert...and cry a little...But I'd still love you no matter what, no matter how mad, no matter how awful. And I always will." I don't know if you can get it in the UK at your library or not. It is really a great book to read to your children. I hope things will work out and I will be checking in soon to see what news you got. Love, Anne |
